Vision & Mission

 

Mind Media is a company driven by vision! We started in 1992 with the vision that medical technology can be used for more than ‘just’ diagnosing disease. We saw it could also be used to improve people’s health and performance!

 

We observed the following trends, which are still valid today:

-        Modern (stress related) health problems are increasing rather than decreasing.

-        People are understanding that medication is not always the only solution and are willing to embrace other solutions.

-        Both professionals and clients/patients understand that health is not merely a neurobiological phenomenon, but it is also psychophysiological. The impact of behavior, lifestyle and psychosocial factors is increasingly being recognized.

-        More and more people are accepting technology as a means to monitor or improve their health. (the technology being used outside of the lab).

-        Medical, electronic and computer (digital) technology are becoming more and more powerful/affordable and thereby are opening new (health) applications.

 

As a response, we formulated our vision as follows:

-        In the near future, the classical disease based point of view (the medical industry making money from people who have a disease and thereby having less economical interest in promoting or sustaining health) will get competition by other points of view.

-        People will become more and more interested in how they can improve and maintain their health, well-being and performance.

-        This ‘health point of view’ can made be economically viable.

-        Mind Media will become a major player in the field of (psycho-somatic) health and performance training/monitoring and develop new and innovative solutions.

-        We will make a significant and world-wide contribution to new ways of improving health and performance.

 

The mission and goals that follow from our vision are:

-        To become the world-wide number #1 in the field of biofeedback and neurofeedback solutions, both in technology and market share before 2014.

-        To inform the general public and a large proportion of clinicians and health professionals about these solutions, so they will implement it with their clients and patients, which leads to becoming a standard in the field.

-        To help advance science and research in the field of psychophysiology, neuroscience and stress medicine by developing powerful and integrated tools and technology, which will help researchers to find better solutions and increase the acceptance and efficacy of solutions offered in this field.
