NeXus Blood Volume Pulse Head Sensor

Overview

The NeXus Blood Volume Pulse (BVP) Head Sensor is used to measure relative blood flow. It has been especially designed for biofeedback training addressing migraine by training vasodilatation and vasoconstriction. The NeXus BVP Head Sensor uses optical electronics measuring near infrared light to determine the relative blood flow.

With each heartbeat, blood flows through the arteries and blood vessels. The amplitude of the waveform indicates the relative blood flow, which correlates with the level of vasodilatation/vasoconstriction at that point.

The NeXus Blood Volume Pulse Head Sensor head is placed on the Arteria Temporalis. Make sure to prevent too much movement of the head to prevent artifacts.
